Report: Detroit Lions cut former 6th-round pick WR Travis Fulgham

According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Detroit Lions have released their 2019 sixth-round pick Travis Fulgham (per his agent).

The move comes at a somewhat odd time. The Lions’ roster was 86 players prior to the move, and Detroit doesn’t have to get to 80 players until they congregate for fully-padded practices on August 16. However, the earlier release give Fulgham a chance to catch on with another team before practices truly begin.

Fulgham was a long shot to make the Lions’ roster this year after the team drafted Quintez Cephus in the fifth-round of the 2020 draft and added both Geremy Davis and Victor Bolden to the room in free agency.
