Redskins under fire after claiming accused abuser Reuben Foster

Maybe Reuben Foster's latest arrest will turn out to be nothing, but the Washington Redskins didn't even bother to check it out before claiming him.

And that decision, to pick up the ex-49ers linebacker, is under heavy criticism today.

Foster was arrested Saturday under suspicion of domestic battery and released by San Francisco before their game Sunday. The allegations come from the same woman who accused Foster -- and then later recanted -- of domestic violence before.

That's two arrests in a year for the 2017 first-round pick.

After San Francisco released Foster, only one NFL team claimed him:

The Redskins.
