PRACTICE REPORT: Ngata sits out again

The Lions continued their on-field preparations for Sunday’s game vs. Arizona on Thursday without starting defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.

The Lions are down two starters at defensive tackle after Ngata injured his calf Monday night in Seattle and Tyrunn Walker was lost for the season with a broken leg.

Ngata’s availability for Sunday will be clearer on Friday, but it certainly doesn’t look good with him missing two practices to start the week. The team signed free-agent defensive tackles Andre Fluellen and Ishmaa’ily Kitchen this week.

“Obviously, he didn’t practice yesterday, so we’ll see what happens with him,” head coach Jim Caldwell said before practice Thursday.
