Nothing seemed out of the ordinary when Kerron Johnson drove his pregnant wife, Gina, to the the Cluj-Napoca International airport in Romania in mid-February. Nothing, at least, that would have led him to believe it'd be three months and counting before he'd see her again.
Johnson, the brother of Detroit Lions running back Kerryon Johnson and a point guard for the U-BT Cluj Napoca basketball team, walked Gina into the terminal for her early-morning flight to Dallas, connecting through Frankfort, Germany.
The two grabbed coffee before Gina went through security and spent a few minutes talking about her upcoming doctor's appointment, their 1-year-old dog, an Australian Shepherd named Kota, and how she'd be back in a few weeks to catch the end of his season.
