Many Detroit Lions past and present took to social media Monday to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Many of the ideas Dr. King spoke on have been highlighted this past year. Earlier this summer the Detroit Lions cancelled practice to discuss social justice issues, making a powerful statement before media with a board that read “We won’t be silent.
