The Thursday night NFL product often feels unwatchable. The games often are ugly and low-scoring, featuring teams beat up and on short rest.
But that doesn't mean it isn't valuable.
Today, the NFL reportedly reached a deal with Amazon to stream 10 of its Thursday night games next season -- for $50 million.
That's quite an increase over the league's one-year, $10 million deal with Twitter for the same amount of games in the 2016 season. The NFL had a deal with Yahoo! in 2015
The games only will be available to Amazon Prime subscribers.
