Part of Stan Edwards wanted his son, Berkley, to be done playing football.

Berkley Edwards had bounced around three schools in the last six seasons and received only sporadic playing time at each.

At Minnesota, he redshirted for one season, made a couple starts the next, then barely saw the field the third. He transferred to Central Michigan, sat out a year, and when he finally got on the field played almost exclusively as a kick returner.
