New Detroit Lions assistants could mean new emphasis on QB mobility

INDIANAPOLIS — They were on opposing sidelines for one of the most memorable plays in Super Bowl history, but Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia said that moment never came up when he interviewed Darrell Bevell for the offensive coordinator job this offseason.

“Totally was not part of the conversation at all,” Patricia said Wednesday at the NFL scouting combine. “I think it was a mutual kind of just eye connection that said we’re not going to talk about that and we’re just move on to now.
