EAGAN, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings will give quarterback Nick Mullens his second consecutive start in Sunday's key divisional game against the Detroit Lions, coach Kevin O'Connell announced Monday.
Mullens completed 26 of 33 passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings' 27-24 overtime loss Saturday to the Cincinnati Bengals. He threw two interceptions in the second quarter to end scoring threats, but largely adhered to coach Kevin O'Connell's philosophy of getting the ball downfield to wide receivers.
