BROOKLYN, Mich. – Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh and members of the Detroit Lions were at Michigan International Speedway today for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400.
Harbaugh and his wife, Sarah, sat atop Denny Hamlin’s pit box as a guest of owner and former NFL coach Joe Gibbs for the start of the race.
Fans who were on pit road to get pictures with Denny Hamlin and Joe Gibbs saw Harbaugh and wanted to get pictures with him as well and he obliged.
The Lions offensive linemen came to the race as a bonding activity arranged by Gabe Ikard, said he’s dating a granddaughter for one of the partners of Chris Buescher’s race team, Love's Travel Stops.
