Mending relationship with Calvin Johnson 'high priority' for Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions Hall of Fame RB Barry Sanders explains his thoughts on Kerryon Johnson and the Lions offense at the Super Bowl, Feb. 1, 2019 in Atlanta.

The Detroit Lions want Calvin Johnson back in the family, and they want it to happen before he goes into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Lions president Rod Wood said at the team's annual Taste of the Lions event Wednesday that rekindling a relationship with Johnson is "a very high priority" for the organization three years after the sides parted ways on bad terms.

"That’s on the agenda this year, reaching out to him," Wood said.
