BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Long before Matt Patricia was on the Detroit Lions’ radar as a serious head-coaching candidate, Rodney Harrison told anyone who would listen that Patricia would make a good head coach.
Harrison never played directly for Patricia during their five seasons together with the New England Patriots, but the All-Pro safety saw how Patricia, then the Patriots’ offensive assistant and later linebackers coach, interacted with players.
