The Detroit Lions are a team that seems to be on the cusp of something great. On Monday night, they had a chance to prove just that against the NFC North divisional leader, the Green Bay Packers.
Despite having the lead for most of the contest, several bad (and missed) calls by the officiating crew shifted the momentum of the game to the home team in Green Bay.
In the end, those and other mistakes allowed the Packers to defeat the Lions in primetime by the slimmest of margins, 23-22, with a walk-off field goal.
