With both the Detroit Lions and the Indianapolis Colts agreeing to rest their starters for the final preseason game, Friday night will be all about assessing each team’s depth and figuring out the final handful of roster spots before the cutdown deadline on Tuesday.
Earlier this week, Lions head coach Dan Campbell acknowledged that about 80 percent of the roster, in his mind, has already been set. That leaves a good 10 to 12 roster spots still on the line, and Friday’s preseason finale could be the deciding factor for the tightest camp battles.
