The Detroit Lions, along with every other NFL team, is feeling the financial crunch following the announcement that the league salary cap will drop to $182.5 million for this season. To compensate, several talented players are being released from their respective teams.
The Lions are in an advantageous position when it comes to retooling their roster as they are also in the midst of a regime change. So there already figured to be more player movement than usual as a new front office and coaching staff has been installed in the Motor City headed by general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell.
