Lions' T.J. Lang has a long history of brain injuries

ALLEN PARK -- It's one thing to battle a bad back or a sore foot or a troublesome hip, as T.J. Lang has done since joining the Lions last year. But the brain is another matter, especially when there's repeated trauma.

And Lang is now dealing with at least his fifth or sixth known brain injury.

Lang suffered his latest concussion when he was involved in a head-to-head collision with linebacker Jaylon Smith early in Sunday's loss against the Cowboys. He initially stayed on his feet, before eventually falling to the ground. He covered his eyes, indicating there was some kind of issue with his vision, and was seen squinting as trainers helped him into the locker room.
