The Detroit Lions have started their offensive coordinator search with Baltimore Ravens quarterback coach James Urban. A name that came out of left-field, with no apparent connections to newly hired head coach, Dan Campbell.
However, I put on my detective hat to see if it were true. After some time of valiant research, there appears to be no direct connection between the two. Although, there is a strong possibility that Urban’s name came from a recommendation.
Three potential scenarios, first, Campbell reached out to Jeff Nixon, current Carolina Panthers running backs coach for the offensive coordinator opening.
