The Detroit Lions need to find a solution for their issues at offensive tackle and on Friday, they signed Lamar Holmes, who was last with the Atlanta Falcons.
Holmes was a third-round pick of the Falcons in 2012 out of Southern Mississippi. He played both left tackle and right tackle for the Falcons, including starting 15 games in 2013 and four games in 2014.
The 6-foot-6, 333 pound tackle was released by Atlanta in December with an injury settlement after he broke his foot during minicamp last spring. He had been Atlanta’s starting right tackle at the time of the injury.
