In the second-round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions selected A’Shawn Robinson, the ferocious defensive tackle out of Alabama.
While some debated the Lions’ first and third-round selections, most fans and analysts were in agreement that drafting Robinson in the second was the right move. In the weeks leading up to the draft, many “experts” had the Lions taking Robinson in the first-round, so getting him in the middle of the second was great value.
The Lions have not had the same pass-rush since losing both Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley in last season’s free agency period.
