Lions QB Matthew Stafford shrugs off hand injuries after loss

DETROIT -- Matthew Stafford is no stranger to hand injuries and how devastating they can be for a quarterback. But he insists the blows he took to both hands Sunday against Seattle are inconsequential.

"I'm OK," the Lions quarterback said. "Yeah, I'll be all right."

Stafford was seen clutching his right (throwing) hand after taking a shot from linebacker Jacob Martin early in the fourth quarter of the 28-14 loss against Seattle. Martin was flagged for roughing the passer on the play.

Later, Stafford took another hit that seemed to injure a finger on his left (non-throwing) hand.
