As other teams around the NFL start to round out their coaching staff, one former Detroit Lions coach has found himself a new home. Jim Caldwell, once considered a hot name for a potential 2019 head coaching job, is expected to join the Miami Dolphins coaching staff, according to MMQB’s Albert Breer.
The Dolphins are expected to hire Patriots linebacker coach Brian Flores as their next head coach and per Breer, Caldwell will have an part in the offensive staff—though he may not be considered as the team’s offensive coordinator.
“I expect him to be a part of the staff, but maybe not as OC,” Breer wrote in his Monday column.
