When it comes to reaching the goal of becoming an NFL head coach, Scottie Montgomery knows it’s all about the right opportunity at the right time.
That’s part of what they stress at the 2024 NFL Coach Accelerator program at the Spring League Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. Montgomery participated in the program in both years he’s been with the Detroit Lions as assistant head coach/running backs coach.
Per NFL.com, the goal of the program is to provide qualified coaching candidates from diverse backgrounds a means to build relationships with club owners and executives, as well as hone their leadership skills.
