Lions lose another OL coach

The Detroit Lions are losing another offensive line coach -- this time, to a promotion.

Ryan Silverfield, who joined the Lions' staff as an offensive line assistant last month, is leaving to become the new offensive line coach at Memphis, according to Sports Illustrated.

The Lions announced Silverfield's hiring just over a month ago, on Nov. 18, about three weeks after the team fired offensive line coaches Jeremiah Washburn and Terry Heffernan.

Tight ends coach Ron Prince has been coaching the line since. Silverfield left Arizona State to work as his assistant.
