BROOKLYN, Mich. – Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh spent his “day off” attending the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway today.
Harbaugh and his wife, Sarah, sat atop Denny Hamlin’s pit box during the race as a guest of NASCAR team owner and former NFL coach Joe Gibbs.
“Like no other experience ever,” Sarah Harbaugh said of being on the pit box for the start of the race. “I think you have to really witness these things in person in order to understand them.
