ALLEN PARK -- The offensive line got whipped by the defense once again during Detroit Lions training camp.
And this time, emotions boiled over.
Guard Laken Tomlinson beat reserve defensive tackle Stefan Charles during a testy round of one-on-one drills between linemen, then stalemated him on their second rep, after which the players began pushing and showing.
Tomlinson through a punch with his right hand during the exchange, and the players had to be separated by teammates.
The former first-round pick later tried to downplay the incident.
"Just got a bunch of guys competing," Tomlinson said.
