Lions hire ex-Patriots strength coach Harold Nash

General manager Bob Quinn said the Lions were in no rush to hire a strength coach, but the team moved quickly to add yet another man Quinn worked with in New England.

Harold Nash, whom the Patriots fired earlier this week, will be the new head of the Lions' strength and conditioning department. He was the strength and conditioning coach in New England from 2011-15 after being the assistant in the same area from 2005-10.

The Lions fired strength coaches Jason Arapoff and Ted Rath last week, a decision Quinn said he and coach Jim Caldwell made together.
