Lions get good news and bad news on their safety room ahead of Week 9 vs. Vikings

The injury gods giveth, and they take away.

That's especially true for the Detroit Lions. The 2024 injury bug that plagued them isn't quite as strong this season, but it's clear the team could still use some medicine to get rid of it completely.

Head coach Dan Campbell shared with reporters ahead of Week 9 that the Lions were expecting to get back Brian Branch (suspension), Terrion Arnold (shoulder), and Taylor Decker (shoulder) at practice this week, but he did leave out one huge name in those injury updates: safety Kerby Joseph.

Getting both him and Branch back onto the field is huge for the Lions' defense, but it doesn't sound likely for the Lions' matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
