CHICAGO — Free Press sports writer Dave Birkett grades the Detroit Lions after their 20-13 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday:

Quarterback

Jeff Driskel did some things well making an emergency start for Matthew Stafford. He threw for 269 yards, led the Lions in rushing (five carries, 37 yards) and showed the ability to extend plays with his feet. But the Lions' offense also went through long stretches of ineptitude behind its backup.
