On Wednesday morning, Kelly Stafford, wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, announced on Instagram that she has a brain tumor that will require surgery in the next two weeks.
According to Stafford’s instagram post, a Lions team doctor recommended she get an MRI following a recurring vertigo issue. That’s when they heard the news.
“I had a tumor sitting on some of my cranial nerves,” Stafford wrote. “The medical term they used was an acoustic neuroma or vestibular schwannoma.”
In her post, Kelly notes that she is expected to have surgery in the next two weeks and asks for all of your support and prayers.
