This is one instance where Golden Tate hopes life doesn't imitate art.
On last week's episode of the HBO series "Ballers," Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter was a candidate for the head-coaching position of the Miami Dolphins.
Cooter did not appear in the episode, but his picture was on the whiteboard of the show's fictional Dolphins general manager, Larry Seifert, along with other head-coaching candidates Lovie Smith and Tom Coughlin.
“Oh no," Tate said Thursday. "I hope that doesn’t happen in real life."
