Jamaica native Laken Tomlinson to donate money for Hurricane Matthew relief

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions guard Laken Tomlinson saw what was going on over the television. He heard about the flooding, the high winds, the devastating rain caused in his homeland of Jamaica by Hurricane Matthew.

He had lived through hurricanes before when he grew up on the island before heading to the United States when he was 10. So he remembers, and he wants to help.

Tomlinson is working with the charity organization Food for the Poor to donate money for food and supplies for both Jamaica and Haiti. He said he will donate a yet-to-be-decided amount of money to help the cause.
