Jahmyr Gibbs may have just saved the Lions season with breakout performance

In a game where it looked like the Detroit Lions' season was about to come crashing down against the two-win New York Giants, Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs came through and put on a show in Detroit's 34-27 overtime win over the Giants.

Gibbs' 15 carries for 219 yards and three total touchdowns ultimately lifted the Lions to the win and saved their season. His 69-yard touchdown run on the opening play of overtime helped set the tone for the Lions before the defense came up with a game-winning fourth-down stop in Detroit territory.

In a game where the Lions' defense struggled to defend quarterback Jameis Winston and gave up two Giants trick play touchdowns in regulation, coach Dan Campbell credited Gibbs for his performance, calling him electric and a game-changer.
