Records were made to be broken, and for Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, one of his just fell on Sunday before he even stepped on the field.
Arizona Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett completed 47 passes in the Cardinals' 41-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, which is now the most completed passes in a regular season game. That surpasses the previous record of 45 shared by Goff and former New England Patriot Drew Bledsoe.
When accounting for playoff games, Brissett's 47 completions are tied for the NFL record with Pittsburgh Steelers' legend Ben Roethlisberger, who completed 47 passes in a 2021 Wild Card loss to the Baker Mayfield-led Cleveland Browns.
