The Detroit Lions will face the New York Giants today in a game they need to win to keep any of their fledgling playoff hopes alive.
But no one will be too surprised if Matt Patricia and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell spend an extra few minutes staring longingly at the Giants outstanding young running back, Saquan Barkley.
Both Saquan Barkley and Kerryon Johnson are highly regarded second-year backs who could be the cornerstone of the Giants and Lions ground games for the next 10 years, health permitting. Unfortunately, so far health has not been on Kerryon’s side.
