Is it possible Lions took wrong ball to mark Matthew Stafford's passing record?

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions might have grabbed the wrong football to commemorate quarterback Matthew Stafford passing 25,000 career yards.

Stafford became the fastest player in league history to throw for 25,000 yards on a third-quarter pass to Theo Riddick that went for five yards. The next play, Stafford threw a touchdown pass to Golden Tate in the end zone.

Tate threw the ball into the stands and the Lions then claimed that ball from the fan to give to Stafford to commemorate the mark.

One problem -- that might not be the actual ball used to set the milestone.
