His offenses have always been good at running the football, and now that he’s calling plays for the Detroit Lions, Darrell Bevell said that won’t change.
“We’re going to run the football, we’re going to run it really well,” Bevell promised Monday at a fan forum for season-ticket holders at Ford Field.
But beyond that, Bevell, who replaced Jim Bob Cooter as Lions offensive coordinator last month, said it’s too early to know what his offense will look like this fall because he’s still familiarizing himself with his new personnel.
