Green Bay Packers fire Mike McCarthy after 13 seasons

As we now sit in the final month of the NFL season, some head coaches are starting to sense their seat getting hotter and hotter underneath them. Just two days into the month, the first domino has fallen, second domino has fallen (sorry, Hue Jackson), as the Green Bay Packers announced Sunday evening that head coach Mike McCarthy has been relieved of his duties.

The firing comes off the heels of an extremely disappointing 20-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, who entered the week just 2-9 on the season. The loss dropped the Packers to 4-7-1 on the year, and essentially put an end to their playoff chances.
