Dan Miller was a young broadcaster, a few years away from taking over as play-by-play voice of the Detroit Lions, when he went to Germany to do a few NFL Europe games in the spring of 2000.
Miller’s first assignment was a Berlin Thunder-Frankfurt Galaxy game in Berlin, and Fox had contracted a local spotter to help him during the broadcast.
