For the 75 players still left on the Detroit Lions roster with a chance at making the final 53, they’ve essentially completed a six-month job interview.
From the offseason training program, OTAs, minicamp and then training camp, and now the conclusion of the preseason, there’s nothing left for them to do but wait to see if they’ve done enough to make the cut or not.
“Most of you when you apply for your jobs in the regular working world it was an interview for maybe a day, maybe two days at the most,” head coach Jim Caldwell said.
