Earlier in the week, the Detroit Lions officially recognized today, June 19—”Juneteenth”—as a permanent organizational holiday. The holiday commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
So the Lions Twitter account spent the day giving a platform to some former Lions players to share their thoughts on the holiday and race in America.
