Alex Carter knows this is the year.
He’s not a rookie anymore. He had a season to heal after that, too. There’s no room for mistakes now, no areas for him to not show improvement. Once a third-round pick of the Detroit Lions out of Stanford, Carter has barely played his first two years and if that occurs again, he knows what will likely happen.
He’ll probably be out of a job.
So there’s not exactly pressure on Carter -- at least it’s not how he views it -- but he understands where things are for him.
