FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Johnson Bademosi found himself dealing with a host of real-world problems when he was traded from the Detroit Lions to the New England Patriots in September, not the least of which was what to do with the lease on the house he was renting in suburban Detroit.

"I had just signed an extension," Bademosi said. "But still happy to get an opportunity to play football."

Bademosi said his landlord "wasn't the nicest person in the world" when it came to letting him out of his lease, and he ended up "buying out" the contract.
