With the sudden retirement of center Frank Ragnow, Detroit Lions fans have lost not only a great player, but one of the more beloved people on the team’s roster.
The good news is, by design, the Lions have been accumulating a ton of players like Ragnow over the past five years: extremely talented on the field and an inspiration off it. General manager Brad Holmes and coach Dan Campbell don’t just value football talent, they place a high priority on good, hard-working people.
So while the Lions have lost one of the best examples of that in Ragnow, there are many other pillars of the team and community still here.
