To fully enjoy the 2025 NFL Draft, the best method is to completely admit that you know nothing. Even if you’re a draft junkie and spend months grinding film, reading profiles, and running your own mock drafts, it pales in comparison to the information NFL teams have—and they routinely mess it up. Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes not-so-subtlety tried to remind fans and media of this after the final day of the draft.
“I understand that fans and people on the outside of this building, they have to—they naturally have reactions, and they’ll have comments, thoughts about the decisions that we make, and I think the tough part about it is that, the people on the outside, they have very limited information about the decisions that we make,” Holmes said.
