Kerry Hyder will be a free agent next week.

The Detroit Lions informed Hyder on Monday they do not plan to tender him as a restricted free agent, NFL Network reported.

Hyder had a career-high eight sacks in 2016, then missed all of the 2017 season after tearing his Achilles tendon in a preseason game.

He returned to play seven games last year, mostly as a situational interior rusher, and had seven tackles and one sack.
