This is our fifth year doing “Song of the Game” here at Pride of Detroit, and as part of the rotation between myself, Chris, Ryan and Alex, I’ve never had the chance to choose the finale of the playlist. (To be clear: I’ve never requested to, either). I’ve never had the option to pick one song that puts a nice cap on the season and sets up the new year with a message about the franchise.
But seeing as this will be my last submission to the 2020 playlist and I sat here a week ago saying I was not going to take these last four weeks of Matthew Stafford for granted—and it now appears we may not even get that much—I’m shooting my shot early at risk of ruining the flow of this year’s playlist.
