Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos: Dave Birkett's scouting report, prediction

Free Press sports writer Dave Birkett breaks down the Detroit Lions' Week 16 game Sunday against the Denver Broncos:

Lions run offense vs. Broncos run defense

All eyes will be on Kerryon Johnson this week as the second-year back might play for the first time since October knee surgery. Johnson said his knee feels good and he has had no setbacks since returning to practice. However, he hasn't played in two months, so it seems unlikely he would resume the workhorse role he had to start the season.

Bo Scarbrough practiced on a limited basis this week because of the rib injury he suffered in a Week 14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and either he or Wes Hills should serve as the complementary power back.
