The Detroit Lions open up their 2020 schedule with the division rival Chicago Bears. Both the Lions and Bears are hoping to turn around their fortunes after disappointing 2019 season (to varying degrees). Each team went about it in almost equally opposite ways. The Lions overhauled their defensive roster and coaching staff, while the Bears fired just about everyone on their offensive coaching staff.
The two teams are going to be hungry to kick the 2020 season off on the right foot to both gain confidence in the team going forward and to notch a big win to start the season.
