The Detroit Lions opened Day 3 of the NFL draft by trading down from their fourth-round pick.
The Lions send Pick No. 109 in the fourth round to the Las Vegas Raiders and received the Raiders' fourth-round pick, No. 121, and a late fifth-round selection, No. 172.
The trade is about even on the Jimmy Johnson value chart.
The Lions now have five picks Saturday, single choices in rounds four, six and seven, and two picks in Round 5.
