After struggling greatly to pressure opposing quarterbacks throughout the 2019 NFL season, the Detroit Lions need to take at least one, but probably two or more, pass rushers to the defense.
Currently, the best pass rusher the Lions have on the roster is a defensive end, Trey Flowers. After him, is a multitude of largely unproven players such as defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand, JACK linebacker Austin Bryant, and defensive tackle Nick Williams, among others.
There is a huge need to add multiple quality options to rush the passer along the defensive line and it shouldn’t be out of the question to add multiple pass rushers in the 2020 NFL draft, be it one JACK and one interior defender, or doubling up at a position.
